Mining magnate Clive Palmer stated that the ship would be far superior to the original. Australian businessman Palmer first announced his plans for Titanic II in 2012, then started work in 2018, but this time his attempt failed due to the COVID epidemic.

Almost half of the 835 cabins will be reserved for first-class passengers, who will be encouraged to dress 1900s-appropriate. Third-class passengers will be served casseroles and mash at long tables in the common dining room, just as on the original ship, but other dishes will also be available.

Especially after the movie Titanic, interest in the wreck of the ship increased, and in recent years, a company called OceanGate Expeditions launched a new tour in which it takes tourists to the wreck of the ship with vehicles named Titan. However, a disaster occurred that some call the Titanic curse.

On June 18, 2023, one of the company’s vehicles disappeared and became a global news issue. Inside the reconnaissance vehicle were OcenGate’s CEO Stockton Rush, British billionaire adventurer Hamish Harding, French submarine pilot Paul Henri Nargeolet, Shahzada Dawood and Suleman Dawood.
